Job Description
New Energy Nexus (www.newenergynexus.com) is an international nonprofit organization supporting entrepreneurs and innovators building the future of clean energy. Across more than 15 countries, we accelerate startups, strengthen clean energy ecosystems, and develop market-based solutions that accelerate the global transition to a clean energy economy.
In Thailand, New Energy Nexus is building the country's clean energy workforce, supporting entrepreneurs, and strengthening the enabling ecosystem needed to rapidly scale distributed renewable energy.
The Role
The Senior Associate will play a key role in delivering New Energy Nexus Thailand's climate innovation and entrepreneurship programs. Working across startup acceleration, corporate innovation, ecosystem engagement, and workforce development initiatives, this role is responsible for coordinating program implementation, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-impact projects.
Working closely with startups, corporates, government agencies, investors, universities, and international partners, the Senior Associate will help turn strategy into action by managing day-to-day program execution and supporting the continued growth of Thailand's clean energy ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Program Implementation & Coordination
Support the delivery of NEX Thailand's flagship programs across startup acceleration, corporate innovation, and ecosystem development.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinate the implementation of flagship programs including the Decarbonize Thailand Sandbox, Lab-to-Commercialization, startup acceleration initiatives, and ecosystem engagement activities.
- Develop and manage detailed program workplans, timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
- Coordinate workshops, training sessions, mentoring activities, demo days, and events.
- Manage program logistics and participant communications.
- Coordinate consultants, mentors, service providers, and implementation partners.
- Ensure high-quality participant experience and program delivery.
- Support monitoring, evaluation, learning, and impact reporting.
Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement
Develop and maintain relationships with key ecosystem stakeholders including:
- Government agencies / Universities and research institutions
- Corporates and industry partners / Innovation ecosystem organizations
- Startup founders and entrepreneurs
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinate meetings and partnership activities.
- Support partnership development and stakeholder communications.
- Participate at industry events, conferences, and ecosystem activities.
- Maintain regular engagement with startups and ecosystem partners.
Startup & Ecosystem Support
Support entrepreneurs and strengthen Thailand's clean energy innovation ecosystem.
Responsibilities include:
- Support startup recruitment, selection, onboarding, and program management.
- Coordinate mentor matching and investor engagement activities.
- Support startup business development and commercialization activities.
- Organize networking events, workshops, and ecosystem convenings.
- Gather participant feedback and identify opportunities to improve programs.
Program Operations & Reporting
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and program documentation.
- Track KPIs, milestones, and project deliverables.
- Prepare donor reports, presentations, and impact communications.
- Ensure grant compliance and accurate program reporting.
- Support proposal development, research, and partner communications.
- Coordinate with NEX regional and global teams on shared initiatives.
- Support procurement, finance, and administrative processes related to program delivery.
Requirements
Qualifications and Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Energy, Business, Engineering, Public Policy, Sustainability, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in program coordination, project management, consulting, entrepreneurship support, or the clean energy sector.
- Experience coordinating multi-stakeholder projects.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience working with startups, government agencies, corporates, universities, or development organizations is an advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Thai and English are required.
- Ability to travel throughout Thailand and internationally as required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in one or more of the following:
