Your mission
- Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate ledgers.
- Prepare and file German VAT returns; support additional European VAT submissions as needed.
- Collect and coordinate data for Corporate Income Tax (CIT) filings with external advisors.
- Manage and coordinate R&D tax credit documentation.
- Support tax audits and respond to information requests from German and international authorities.
- Take full ownership of VAT-related activities in SAP until processes are optimized and automated.
- Maintain tax codes, master data, and VAT flows within SAP.
- Ensure accuracy of tax-relevant data throughout financial systems.
- Ensure compliance with local accounting laws, tax regulations, and internal policies.
- Assist in internal and external audits and coordinate with auditors (e.g., KPMG).
- Prepare financial reports and analyses to support management decisions.
- Maintain organized, accurate, and confidential financial documentation.
- Support continuous improvement of accounting and tax processes and systems.
Your profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of accounting and tax principles (Local GAAP; IFRS is a plus).
- Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA and Microsoft Dynamics (preferred).
- Excellent Excel skills and strong data analysis capabilities.
- Hands-on experience in accounting operations.
- High level of attention to detail, accuracy, and integrity.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluent in German and English.
- Knowledge of VAT processes and willingness to further develop tax expertise.
- Knowledge of treasury and cash flow is preferred
