We are looking for an experienced Accounting Team Leader CZ & SK to join our Finance Team and oversee end‑to‑end accounting for our Czech and Slovak entities. You will lead the local Accounting team, ensure accurate statutory reporting and tax compliance, and help strengthen our financial processes as the company continues to grow.
This role is ideal for a hands‑on leader who enjoys combining operational accounting with team coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing daily accounting for Czech and Slovak entities, including GL entries, reconciliations, AP/AR and fixed assets
- Preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly and annual statutory financial statements for CZ and SK
- Overseeing VAT, Intrastat and local tax filings, coordinating with external tax advisors on VAT and CIT
- Leading and developing an eight‑member Accounting CZ & SK team, ensuring high‑quality outputs and system best practices
- Coordinating statutory audits and handling auditor requests
- Reviewing daily accounting entries and ensuring accurate GL reconciliations
- Executing monthly and year‑end closing activities
- Collaborating with external accounting partners on statutory and operational matters
- Preparing management reports, budget vs. actual analyses and ad‑hoc financial reviews
- Supporting ERP system improvements and standardization of accounting processes across jurisdictions
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar accounting role, including team leadership, VAT, corporate tax and full‑scope accounting
- Master´s degree in economics or finance
- Native Czech speaker with communicative English for internal communication (spoken and written)
- Strong knowledge of Czech Accounting Standards
- Experience with accounting for government grants and subsidies
- Advanced Excel skills (including advanced functions and pivot tables)
- Experience working with ERP systems - NetSuite is an advantage
- Strong analytical thinking and solid numerical skills
- Ability to work independently, collaborate effectively in a team and share knowledge
