What you will do
As a Health & Safety Associate at EDP SA Spain, you will be responsible for,
General responsibilities

Workplace Risk Management
- Identify, assess, and document occupational risks (physical, chemical, ergonomic, psychosocial, etc.).
- Periodically assess the legal compliance of different business units.
- Conduct periodic inspections and internal safety audits of workplaces and draft corresponding reports.
- Perform safety inspections on work carried out by both in-house personnel and contractors.
- Propose and implement preventive and corrective measures.
- Prepare technical reports and update risk maps.
- Provide training in occupational risk prevention, according to the schedule, to the organization's employees.

Emergency Preparedness and Response
- Design and maintain the Emergency and Self-Protection Plan.
- Coordinate evacuation drills and contingency plans.
- Train and organize internal emergency brigades.
- Establish communication protocols with external services (firefighters, civil protection, medical emergencies).

Legal and Documentary Compliance
- Manage mandatory Occupational Health and Safety documentation.
- Periodically assess legal compliance.
- Stay up to date on regulatory changes and adapt internal procedures.
- Participate in and attend labour inspections and audits (internal/external).

Training and awareness
- Develop and deliver training activities on occupational health and safety.
- Participate in the preventive reception and integration of new workers.
What are we looking for

Academic Skills
- University Degree and Graduate Degree (includes Master or other graduate level degrees) - degree in Occupational Risk Prevention (Higher Technician's title), and master's degree in occupational risk Prevention (covering three specialties).
- A degree in Electrical Engineering will be valued.

Professional Experience
- Experience level: Between 3 and 4 years.
- Experience and training in auditing prevention management systems according to ISO 45001.
- Experience in prevention services.
- Experience in developing self-protection and emergency plans.

Specific Knowledge
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office package (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Knowledge of electrical installations and construction will be highly valued.
- Knowledge of Prevention Regulations and, specifically, those relating to the Electrical Sector (Industrial Regulations, Regulatory Reviews, etc.) will be highly valued.

- English - advanced level, Spanish - proficient.
