What They Do

APR Renewables is a privately held green energy company specializing in the rapid development, construction, and operation of solar power, battery storage, and other renewable energy assets. The company primarily offers these services through flexible Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), which include on-site, virtual, and data-center-specific arrangements (source: cbinsights.com). Their business model focuses on solar power generation and battery energy storage, developing large commercial and utility-scale projects that supply clean energy tailored to meet the sustainability goals of their clients (source: aprenew.com). Target markets include Fortune 1000 companies, electrical utilities, industrial sectors, data centers, communities, and government entities, emphasizing the need for reliable green power solutions (source: aprenew.com). As a newer entrant in the renewable energy sector, APR Renewables differentiates itself through rapid deployment capabilities and a leadership team with extensive experience in utility-scale solar and storage (source: apr.energy).

Projects & Track Record

Due to its recent founding in 2022, APR Renewables has a limited project track record, with no completed projects explicitly named in public sources. However, the company is actively developing and operating large commercial and utility-scale solar and storage assets (source: cbinsights.com). A notable ongoing project is the Wicomico Rayne Solar facility, a proposed 5.0 MW solar photovoltaic generating plant located in Wicomico County, Maryland. This project is currently advancing toward regulatory approval, with a public comment hearing scheduled for December 3, 2025 (source: aprenew.com). While specific key clients are not disclosed, the company targets segments such as Fortune 1000 firms and utilities, indicating a focus on high-demand users requiring reliable green power (source: cbinsights.com).

Recent Developments

Recent news regarding APR Renewables has been limited, with a significant mention on May 23, 2023, regarding its undisclosed seed funding from Jacobson Partners. This funding is intended to support the company's expansion efforts under the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act, marking a crucial milestone for the startup (source: cbinsights.com). Additionally, the upcoming December 2025 hearing for the Wicomico Rayne Solar project represents an important regulatory milestone, indicating active development within the utility-scale sector (source: aprenew.com). No other acquisitions, mergers, or major contracts have been documented in available sources for the years 2023-2025.

Working There

Information about working at APR Renewables is limited, as it is a small, private startup with no dedicated careers page or employee reviews available in public sources. However, the types of roles likely span development, engineering, operations, finance, and distributed generation, based on the leadership titles and focus areas of the executive team (source: apr.energy). Hiring appears to be centralized at the North Palm Beach headquarters, with no additional office locations specified for recruitment (source: cbinsights.com). While specific company culture indicators are absent, the leadership team, which includes experienced professionals from firms like NextEra and Apex Clean Energy, suggests a high-growth environment driven by expertise in the renewable energy sector (source: apr.energy).
