As we continue to grow, we are now seeking to strengthen our Construction Bid team with an Assistant Bid Coordinator at our Head Office at St John's Town of Dalry, Castle Douglas.
About the Team
Our team comprises a broad range of experts in civil, mechanical, electrical, environmental and geotechnical engineering, safety professionals and construction project management staff. Our support team facilitate the delivery of these engineering services, by providing back-office finance, administrative and critically, business development support.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Assist in the delivery of the bid management process for tenders, quotes, and pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQs).
- Assist the Bid manager and Senior Bid Co-ordinator in administrative tasks.
- Assist the Bid manager and Senior Bid Co-ordinator to keep track of bid deadlines and update the Bid Tracker document/system.
- Assist in compiling tender documents for review and development.
- Drafting PQQ responses.
- Formatting and checking of documents, and maintaining version control.
- Supporting the Bid manager and Senior Bid Co-ordinator in tender input, including procedural and commercial elements.
- Assist with NDA's and contract negotiation processes, in collaboration with Natural Power's in-house legal team and departmental management.
- Creation, collation and ongoing maintenance of tender supporting information, including case studies, experience summaries and team CVs.
- Collaboration with the Finance team and project manager, to ensure project handovers are delivered effectively once a contract has been agreed.
- Tender portal monitoring - identifying new opportunities.
- Assist in tender portal submissions.
- Ad-hoc business development support, in line with business requirements.
What We're Looking For
- Educated to National 5 / GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written communication and copywriting skills
- Proactive, motivated and keen to learn
- Ability to work collaboratively while also using initiative
- Administrative or business support experience
- Full UK driving licence
