Job Description
Do you want to join a global fund manager in energy infrastructure investments? If so, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) is seeking a Manager to join our Strategic Partnerships team based in Copenhagen.
As a Manager in Strategic Partnerships, you will be part of CIP's Investor Relations & Business Development team. The Strategic Partnerships function plays a central role in developing bespoke solutions and executing strategic collaborations with large existing and prospective investors, as well as with CIP's affiliated managers.
Role
In this role, you will support the Strategic Partnerships team in developing frameworks for strategic clients, maintaining an overview of investors and CIP's offerings, and ensuring senior stakeholders are well‑informed on aspects in relation to strategic clients. You will also support the Group Investments & Financing team on investor relations matters related to CIP's affiliated managers, covering both capital formation and product‑specialist activities. The role includes executing strategic partnerships between CIP and affiliated managers, facilitating fundraising coordination, and contributing to the overall management of CIP's portfolio of affiliated managers from a fundraising and marketing perspective.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities will consist of but are not limited to:
- Serve as the key internal focal point for investor related matters to CIP's affiliated companies, alongside Partners in Investor Relations & Business Development and Group Investments & Financing
- Support the development of distribution strategies in collaboration with affiliated managers and colleagues in Capital Formation
- Manage the investor fundraising process from pitch to closing, including preparation of internal and external materials and timely, accurate performance communication to senior leadership
- Prepare, attend, and follow up on investor coordination and operational meetings
- Develop frameworks for strategic clients (existing and new), maintain a comprehensive overview of strategic investors and CIP offerings, and facilitate senior‑level strategic discussions
- Manage stakeholders across the organization and ensure close collaboration with Legal, ESG, Finance, Tax, and other teams throughout fundraising processes
You
We are looking for a motivated individual holding a relevant academic degree and 5-8 years of full-time experience in a similar role within a financial institution focused on strategic or fundraising.
Qualifications
We look for the following in a candidate:
- Demonstrated ability to raise capital from institutional clients and private markets
- Solid understanding of infrastructure or real estate investment strategies or quantitative strategies, ideally gained at an asset manager, placement agent, bank or similar platform
- A structured and analytical approach to problem‑solving and decision‑making, with the ability to manage processes efficiently
- Experience with fund launch processes, including preparation of marketing materials, fundraising strategies, and coordination
- Excellent written communication skills, particularly in PowerPoint, with the ability to produce high‑quality materials for investors and senior stakeholders
- Familiarity with fund structures, due diligence processes, and investor onboarding requirements
- Experience in collaborating with legal, compliance, and investment teams to support investor engagement and transaction execution
- Effective stakeholder management skills, with the ability to take the lead, set direction, and build relationships internally and externally
- High attention to detail, clear standards, and a reliable work ethic combined with the ability to maintain a strategic perspective
- A positive attitude and a collaborative mindset
