Job Description

You will join a dynamic and collaborative finance team working across multiple international entities. The team consists of Financial Controllers based in London, Sheffield, Madrid, and Copenhagen, creating a diverse and international working environment. The role is based in our Copenhagen office, and you will work closely with and report to the Copenhagen based team.

We are responsible for financial reporting, accounting, and compliance for a broad portfolio of companies, and we collaborate closely with both internal stakeholders and external advisors across EMEA region. The team values accuracy, ownership, and clear communication, while maintaining a supportive and informal culture where collaboration and continuous learning are key.

Role

Reporting to the Head of Accounting, Compliance, and Controlling for EMEA, you will be an integral part of our expanding team. We are committed to supporting your personal development and providing valuable learning opportunities. In this role, you will contribute to shaping and developing our financial setup for our many investment opportunities. By taking part in a range of finance activities, you will gain broad exposure to renewable energy, financial investments, and operational finance.

Responsibilities will consist of but are not limited to

  • Controlling accounts, including cost controlling, balance sheet controlling, and equity contributions
  • Assisting in various transaction processes to support investment activities
  • Reporting to investment teams and other stakeholders on the financial performance of investments
  • Developing, implementing, and facilitating initiatives to improve accounting processes and procedures
  • Data processing and BI-Reporting to improve internal finance processes,
  • Assisting with the setting up of new investment structures for the EMEA region;
  • Review of internal reports, external annual reports, and tax reporting
  • Conducting ad hoc analysis
  • Assisting in securing bank access

You

You are a final year BSc or first-year MSc student in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, Auditing, or other relevant fields. You are motivated by transforming theory into practical solutions and applying critical thinking within finance and accounting.

We look for the following in a candidate

  • Structured problem-solving skills
  • Close attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Interest in operational finance and renewable energy assets
  • Experience with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Willingness to work in an international, busy, and highly varied environment
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written as well as great communication skills
  • Previous job experience within finance or accounting is seen as beneficial but not a requirement.
