Job Description

The Consolidation Lead Expert is responsible for leading the end-to-end group consolidation and financial reporting process across APAC entities. This role ensures timely, accurate, and compliant consolidated financial information, supports complex technical accounting matters, and drives continuous improvement, standardization, and automation of processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation processes across multiple APAC entities
  • Ensure high quality, timely and accurate reporting in accordance with IFRS and Group accounting policies.
  • Review monthly consolidations, monthly reporting with analysis of group financial performance and results.
  • Provide technical accounting guidance on complex topics (e.g. acquisitions, disposals, impairments, derivatives, consolidation adjustments, etc)
  • Lead overall audit processes, including review of financial statements and audit deliverables
  • Lead and involve in new FRS implementation projects, provide financial technical support to business operations or cross-function as required
  • Partner with country finance teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting submissions
  • Act as the key liaison between APAC finance, Group Accounting, and external auditors
  • Involve in any due diligence exercises and special projects with focus on accounting technical advisory
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across financial reporting
  • Identify opportunities for automation (e.g., Power Query, system enhancements)
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to financial reporting team members
  • Build technical capability among the team
  • Other ad-hoc duties as required

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum 8-12 years of working experience in complex group consolidation
  • Candidate with external audit, strong consolidation, accounting in M&A related experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and group reporting requirements
  • Experience with consolidation systems preferred Hands-on experience with consolidation systems (e.g., Magnitude) and SAP
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in multicultural environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams located in different geographies
  • Strong communication skills, including ability to explain technical topics clearly
  • High attention to detail with a proactive mindset and highly organized
