Baird Holm is seeking at add an Associate attorney to our Energy and Renewable Energy practice area which is a part of our Real Estate section. The candidate must have all of the following experience and skills:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an American Bar Association (ABA) accredited law school
  • Strong academic history
  • Active admission in good standing with the Nebraska bar or ability to obtain the same
  • Strong writing, analytical, organizational, time management, and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and robust work ethic
  • Commitment to professionalism, collegiality, and teamwork, along with ability to work independently on various projects
  • This position requires up to 30% travel, including occasional overnight stays for hearings and client meetings.
  • Ability to start working by or before September 2026.

The ideal candidate desires a legal practice that encompasses all of the following areas:

  • Real estate, energy, natural resources, environmental, land use, government relations, and tax credit law
  • Conducting research and due diligence, drafting transactional documents, and coordinating commercial transactions
  • Representing clients in litigation and other proceedings, including administrative, regulatory, and public hearings
