What They Do

Enery is a Vienna-based private energy company specializing in the development, construction, acquisition, and operation of renewable power assets across Central and Eastern Europe, with a strong focus on solar photovoltaic (PV), onshore wind, hydropower, and battery energy storage technologies (source: enery.energy, enery.energy). The company operates a diversified portfolio of 64 multi-technology power plants and maintains offices in several CEE countries including Czechia, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Romania, and Austria, reflecting its regional expansion strategy (source: enery.energy, enery.energy). Enery positions itself as an independent power producer delivering affordable green energy solutions tailored for industrial customers, utilities, and governments, emphasizing greenfield development and mergers and acquisitions in renewable sectors (source: enery.energy, kommunalkredit.at). Additionally, the company specializes in corporate green power purchase agreements (PPAs) and manages nearly 700 MWh of third-party battery storage assets, integrating generation, storage, and revenue optimization to provide 24/7 green electricity solutions (source: kommunalkredit.at).

Projects & Track Record

Enery’s installed renewable energy portfolio has rapidly expanded, reaching 566 MW as of January 2026, with an additional 213 MW under construction and a clean electricity output of 766 GWh annually (source: enery.energy). The company manages 64 multi-technology power plants across Central Europe and maintains a development pipeline approaching 10 GW spanning 10 countries in the CEE region (source: kommunalkredit.at). A notable project includes the Gabare solar plant in Bulgaria, developed through a 50-50 joint venture with OMV Petrom’s Dunav Solar Plant OOD, featuring approximately 400 MW of photovoltaic capacity integrated with battery storage (source: chemxplore.com). Enery’s portfolio also includes 300 MW of solar PV and 100 MW / 220 MWh of co-located battery storage supported by a major cross-border financing deal, underscoring its leadership in large-scale solar and battery storage projects across the region (source: enery.energy).

In 2025, Enery secured over EUR 250 million in long-term portfolio project financing led by ČSOB with participation from United Bulgarian Bank and ČSOB Slovakia, aimed at accelerating renewable growth across Czechia, Slovakia, Bulgaria, and Slovenia (source: enery.energy). The company has continued to expand its cross-border footprint and battery storage integration, reflecting a strategic focus on combining generation and storage assets for optimized clean energy delivery (source: kommunalkredit.at). Additionally, the formation of a joint venture with OMV Petrom to develop the Gabare solar project in Bulgaria highlights Enery’s commitment to large-scale photovoltaic and battery storage projects in the CEE region (source: chemxplore.com).
