The number of employees has not been disclosed, and there are no available revenue figures for 2023 or later.

What They Do

OTC Flow B.V. is a private Dutch company focused on trading environmental certificates and providing advisory services to support energy transitions, rather than direct renewable energy production or infrastructure development (source: agentosaurus.com). The company acts as an intermediary for environmental certificates and has evolved from initial consultancy services in energy efficiency to a broader portfolio that will also include trading in biofuels and carbon offsets by 2024 (source: agentosaurus.com). OTC Flow offers a range of products, including Energy Attribute Certificates (EACs), Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), and Energy Efficiency Certificates (EECs), all aimed at supporting businesses and public entities in the energy transition (source: otcflow.com). Their services target sectors such as aviation, shipping, road transport, and energy, assisting with procurement strategies and regulatory compliance (source: otcflow.com).

Projects & Track Record

OTC Flow has not disclosed any specific completed projects with names, locations, or capacities, as the company primarily operates as a trader and consultant without owning or developing physical renewable assets (source: otcflow.com). Their activities focus on facilitating transactions in EACs, EECs, biofuels, and Guarantees of Origin (GOs) across Europe, including support for the injection of biomethane into gas grids and the procurement of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) for airlines preparing for the CORSIA 2027 requirements (source: otcflow.com). Key clients are not individually named but include energy producers, obligated buyers, airlines, shipowners, and public entities meeting obligations through EEC sales or biofuel blending (source: otcflow.com).

Recent Developments

In the past two years, OTC Flow has undergone several significant developments. On December 14, 2023, the company published insights on the outcomes of COP28; on May 31, 2024, Federico Resta and Bastien Lalet were appointed as Managing Directors; and on June 18, 2024, the company achieved the status of ISCC EU Certified Trader (source: otcflow.com). Additionally, OTC Flow has published articles on key topics such as the EU Taxonomy and the implications of the CSRD, highlighting their engagement with current issues in the sector (source: otcflow.com). The company has also announced its participation in the International Energy Week 2025 in London for discussions on biofuels (source: otcflow.com).

Careers at OTC Flow

OTC Flow promotes a flat, meritocratic structure in its "Careers" section, emphasizing entrepreneurship and growth within the company (source: otcflow.com). The roles are likely focused on trading, consultancy, procurement strategies, compliance, market analysis, and support functions, given the company's focus on environmental certificates (source: otcflow.com). Recruitment activities appear to concentrate on the headquarters in Amsterdam, as no other office locations have been specified for recruitment (source: otcflow.com). The company culture is characterized by dynamism in complex markets and collaboration with stakeholders, with a focus on responsible action and educational outreach on topics such as CSRD and EU ETS (source: recs.org).

We operate at the intersection of finance and sustainability, connecting companies with the market tools they need to meet climate goals and regulatory requirements.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the global energy transition while building a rewarding career in one of the most dynamic and fast-evolving sectors of international trading. If you have a background in sales, a passion for sustainability, and the drive to thrive in a high-performance environment, we want to hear from you.

About the role

As a Sales Trader at OTC Flow, you'll be at the forefront of the environmental commodities market, connecting clients with the instruments they need to meet regulatory and sustainability goals. This role is equal parts commercial drive and market awareness: you'll proactively engage with prospective clients, understand their environmental exposure, and identify where products can bring value.

Your mission is to build and maintain a profitable client portfolio. Through a mix of cold calling, networking, and market engagement, you'll become a trusted counterparty to companies across industries and borders. You'll act as the direct link between clients and the market-facilitating trades, brokering deals, and ensuring smooth execution every step of the way.

Responsibilities

  • Client Portfolio Development: Proactively expand your client base within the environmental commodities sector.
  • Lead Generation & Outreach: Utilize cold calling, email outreach, and face-to-face meetings to identify new business opportunities and establish strong relationships with potential clients.

About you

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1-2+ years in commodity trading, B2B sales, business development, or client-facing roles, preferably within commodities, energy markets, or environmental sectors.
  • Sales Acumen: Natural ability to sell, negotiate, and close deals, with a strong focus on building long-term client relationships.
  • Proactive & Resilient: Self-driven and comfortable with cold calling and outreach to potential clients, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is essential; additional language skills (German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Polish, or any Nordic language) are a strong advantage.
  • Adaptability & Resilience: Ability to work under pressure and stay focused in a high-performance, ever-changing market.

What we offer

  • Competitive Remuneration: Attractive base salary with performance-based bonuses that reward achievement of sales and profit targets.
  • Growth & Career Development: A meritocratic environment where you can grow your career, with opportunities for advancement as the business expands.
  • Recognition & Incentives: Celebrate your successes with team awards, company events, and performance bonuses.
  • Team Perks:
    • Healthy lunches, snacks, and drinks provided by the in-house team.
    • Covered commuting expenses, including transport reimbursements, bike plans, and free parking.
    • Exciting team-building events, including sports activities, international trips, and social gatherings.
  • Inclusive Culture: Join a motivated, young, and international team in the heart of Amsterdam, where innovation, collaboration, and results are valued.
  • Work-Life Balance: Enjoy a full-time, 40-hour workweek with 25 days of vacation annually, ensuring a healthy balance between work and personal life
